Gold queen of hearts screen print

Dragon illustrationShe is Gold and Delicious! the Queen of Hearts screen printed on burgundy ┬áin liquid gold with illustrated dragon drawn in Karisma Tuscan Red behind! -Perhaps the true ‘Girl with a Dragon Tattoo’!

First a pre-shot of the dragon with flames drawing, then after the alignment nightmare, the gold screen print on top -I always print one screen print onto acetate so I can get the alignment spot on baby! -it’s still fiddly but saves miss-printing on an original drawing! (damn the man!)

My Lady Luck screen print The Queen of Spades is being auctioned on behalf of Art4Haiti a charity set up by Sarah Larnach (of Ladyhawke fame) who lost family members to the devastating earthquake in Haiti. Check it out the auction here …So dig deep and in exchange for your generosity you get a limited edition of one of only 6 hand pulled screen prints and the knowledge that all the money raised goes to help the rebuild effort Haiti. (nb, the ebay listing has it down as a ‘original digital print’ when in fact it is an original screen print)

On a personal note I would like to dedicate this screen print to the memory of Olivia Bouille, a girl who was always so full of life and who took art class with me back in the day and who tragically lost her life in the earthquake.

Here are my screen printed Christmas cards this year! The title is ‘The Snowflake Boat’ -they are printed on black or dark turquoise card with gold ink! (yes that’s right my friends, I’m busting out the gold ink this year.) I have a few left over so if you would like to have one for your very own send me an email with your posting address! -ho ho ho and all that!
