The Decked Project!

July 23, 2009

The Decked Project is an exhibition I am co-organising with illustrator EJ Miles held at StolenSpace gallery in Brick Lane, 25-31st August. The show is an electric mix of illustrators / designers / tattoo artists / street artists / and graffiti artists all showing under one roof and each hand painting / inking / drawing on one skateboard deck each! The exhibition is supported by British skateboard manufacturer Faltown Skateboards and they have kindly been able to provide 100% eco friendly recycled skate decks for the artists to use as an alternative canvas! for the lo-down on the project check out http://thedeckedproject.blogspot.com/

Apologies for the lack of blog posts lately! I have been super busy with my crayons and so internet postings have fallen by the wayside. Just a quick one to mention a feature by Photoshop Creative Magazine on myself, Louise Brangwin, Dan Burrows and EJ Miles (all part of the House of Aces illustration collective) showcasing four pages of our work in their latest edition out now! There is also a free podcast of the interview found on the Photoshop Creative website that includes lots of uhms and arrs from myself! (I think I should stick to crayons and not venture into radio!) oh dear! haha

From the 24th – 28th November I will be out in New York City with my portfolio, so if you would like to meet me to discus any projects or collaborations and you are based in the NYC area the please feel free to drop me an email!

Here are some of the shots from the opening night of the Inkgoodness exhibition in Bristol (open to the 27th November.) Lots of tasty artwork, people drawing on the collective hope and fears doodling pages on the floor in the centre of the gallery, me being interview for a student group from Bath, and lots more tasty artwork!
